Day Ten: After the Arrests

The Menace stood outside of 53 Logger Court (the robber’s hideout) waiting in the shadows. Looking around he desperately hoped to see some of his fellow Robbers soon. The heist earlier that evening had been going so well, and The Menace still didn’t understand how the Cops found out. He began to think that there might be a rat on his team, but he didn’t dwell on it too much, because he had much bigger things to worry about. Suddenly he heard rustling behind him and turned quickly to find The Cold Killer jumping over the backyard fence. After he caught his breath The Menace walked over to The Cold Killer and asked him if he saw anyone else escape. The Cold Killer said that he was so focused on getting out of the building he didn’t have time for anyone else, but at least he kept his gun.

They went inside believing it better to be inside than outside and waited for someone else to return all the while trying to formulate a plan to rescue the rest of their team. Suddenly they heard the door at the top of the stairs open and The Muscle and The Stylist came down the steps. The Menace was glad to see them, but he really wanted to see The Chump and the money they had stolen. His thoughts became reality when The Chump did come down the stairs with a duffle bag hanging off one shoulder. He had been hiding for a long time because he didn’t want to risk the money, and finally when he had the chance he bolted towards the hideout and the Cops never even saw him. So after an hour passed The Menace knew no one else would be coming back. So that meant the Cops had either arrested or killed The Architect, The Hutt, The Legend, The Wit and The Verdict. With one gun left, The Menace began to worry about his team’s chances.

The following is the account of Officer Lindsay Eby on Day Ten:

The Police Station was full of excitement as the Cops had just had a very successful evening. Chief Pitman and Lt. Amanda Maurice had just arrived with the police car containing three Robbers in the back seat. Officer Eby went over to help get these three young men out of the car and into their cages. This meant that by Day Ten they already had five Robbers caught and in jail. Eby herself had also personally seen one Robber being escorted from the game by officials which meant that he had been shot and eliminated. None of the Cops had shot him so that meant that a Robber had just shot another Robber. They make no money off of a killed Robber but they still made $75,000 for each Robber arrested and jailed until the end of the game. So with all five Robbers they had caught so far, The Cops had made $375,000 already. Now if the game were over today they would have to split that 12 ways, but the game is young and Officer Eby knew by the end of the game she could be the only one left.

So she continued to lay low, obey her superior officers, but most importantly read those around her. The Cops were one team, but every person on this team would like to take a larger share of the winnings if given the chance. The robbers they had caught were eventually placed in their cells and split up as best as possible. There were only three cells and they were all side by side, so The Drama Queen and The Swagger were kept split up and the dark skinned robber was placed with The Swagger and the tall thin robber was placed with The Drama Queen. The bigger, slow-moving robber was placed in the middle cell by himself. The robbers had not spoken a word to each other yet, and Officer Eby suspected that was because they didn’t want to Cops to have anything to go off of, for further investigations. This notion seemed absurd to Eby as she knew these Robbers would never escape, so their games were as good as over anyways.

Just in case any strategy did happen to go on Captain Cameron Hodge stayed by the cells at all times to oversee the captives. For the rest of the day, the Cops that weren’t patrolling (like the always do) would take one robber at a time aside to try and gain information for a little reward. This had been their game plan with The Drama Queen who had apparently given information to Deputy Chief Heidman, but Officer Eby had not been informed yet of what that information was. Deciding to act upon her suspicions, Officer Eby confronted Chief Kyle Pitman to inquire about the “Drama Queen” situation. Sitting at his desk, Chief Pitman told Officer Eby honestly that The Drama Queen was planning on releasing the whereabouts of the hideout when the station got the call from Lt. Wilson about the robbery. When The Drama Queen had heard that her team was in trouble, she shut up and would not say another word. Pitman guessed that now with more of her team in the slammer with her they would have a chance to escape.

----------------------------------------------------

Sitting nervously on a hospital bed, The Wit looked outside the windows to make sure no Cops were around.

Make no mistake about it, The Wit was pissed that he and The Verdict had been betrayed by The Architect. Fortunately for The Wit, his suit had told him that with the shot on the shoulder he had 15 minutes to make it to the hospital. Unfortunately The Verdict being shot in the chest was eliminated instantly. So The Wit had got up and ran for a different stairway than the one The Architect and The Hutt had entered. With some quick thinking he was able to escape the building and make it past the Cops to the hospital. Now sitting on this bed he knew he could be arrested at any moment if the Cops only entered the hospital and asked why he was there. He only had to remain there another hour, and if he was lucky, no one would even know he was still in the game.

----------------------------------------------------

Now that is the end of the first third of Cops and Robbers. I am sooo busy right now, so the remaining two thirds will not begin until January 2006. I hope everyone is fine with that. So in your comments let me know what has been good so far, and more importantly what I can improve upon. I hope you have enjoyed it up to this point and it has been a pleasure entertaining you guys.
Hamilton out.

I feel I am in arrears to the team. There are a few of us who have not been in the plot as of yet. I have a stunning whit and intellect to match. These faculties have a proclivity to assuring victory. Perhaps I could expiate for my absence by offering my services in episode two?

I think pitman should get it next, it would make things more interesting don't you think? And about the OC's little love lust on Lindsay and his comments about the cell...I would have to agree!

The only action that the muscle is going to be getting is going to be from some guy who has tatoo's all over his body in jail right before I bust a cap in his head...and on another note, the muscle could not handle my mother...and on another note, due to past rumors the muscle's "muscle" is not something to be proud of...and I still think he should get it next...

I am going to cap Ryan in the teeth, and then make a witty comment about it; like "Chew on that..." or "Looks like you got a little something on your tooth right there... oh yeah it's a lead slug"

Good episode man. I liked it alot. You have a real knack for explaining things well from different perspectives, that is key to your creative genius. Now on another note mr. nasty eyes. You need another picture. Glad you're still alive Wit, i think they'll be some great plot action involving you in a bit. or i guess in january.
