Day Thirteen: Private Party

In the Robbers’ hideout, The Stylist waited for her team to return. She had been left behind because she didn’t want to be recognized by any of the Cops as she had been at the station the day before. All of a sudden, The Stylist heard the front door open, and The Architect rushed down the stairs followed by the rest of the team. The mood in the hideout was very exciting because they knew that their game had just turned a corner.

The Following is the account of PI Michelle Whiting on Day Thirteen

Michelle had been wandering the south-east quadrant all night looking for anything suspicious. She hadn’t really seen anything so far in this game that had meant anything for her. That is, until moments earlier when she had seen a group of people rushing through the neighborhood towards Logger Court. She hadn’t tried to keep up, because she didn’t want to seem suspicious. But she definitely had an idea who they were, and where they were going. So at this point, Michelle was sneaking around the front and backyards of the houses on Logger Court looking for the Robber’s hideout. She knew it was here somewhere, and it would only be a matter of time.

Michelle was disappointed when all the houses looked exactly the same, so there was nothing to set any of the houses apart from each other. She made very sure that she stayed in the shadows because she did not want any of the Robbers to see her, and possibly kill her. Suddenly, something caught her eye beside one of the house across the street. She flung herself behind a bush to hide. Sticking her head out, she squinted her eyes and saw that the number on the house was 53. Michelle knew that the sneaky person could just be an extra outside of their house, but she decided to go in for a closer look. After all, she knew she would never make any money without taking any risks. Taking her camera out of her backpack, Michelle abandoned the bush and quickly crossed the street.

----------------------------------------------

Deciding to leave the discussion going on in the basement, The Cold Killer decided to make a sandwich. He walked up the stairs and headed towards the kitchen. Opening up the fridge, The Cold Killer grabbed some strawberry jam to put on his upcoming peanut butter sandwich. With the window open, a nice breeze was coming into the kitchen, but the breeze carried with it some sounds from the yard that didn’t belong.

----------------------------------------------

Michelle had made it past the front lawn of 53 Logger Court, and was now sneaking around to the backyard. She had seen this shady character come around the back, but once around the brick wall Michelle was distracted by the light coming from one of the basement windows. She moved closer to get a better look, and suddenly someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her into the brush along the back fence. The man holding Michelle had his hand over her mouth, and he quietly “sshhhhed” in her ear.

Around from the front of the house, a man with a gun began walking into the backyard. He wasn’t very tall, but he looked thick, like he spent his summers lifting bags of sand. His hair was short and dark, and he moved quietly, gun out in front of him, obviously looking for Michelle, or the guy with his hand over her mouth. The Robber waited in the middle of the backyard in complete silence for a moment, and then moved on, if very slowly. Michelle turned to look at her captor and found a man with dark skin and dreadlocks that she had never seen before. He told her his name is Silas and that he was a Private Investigator and that he had already found the hideout, and he was keeping tabs on the Robbers to make sure that he was ready when they brought back some loot.

---------------------------------------------

PI Micah George stood across the street from the busiest house in the neighborhood. 53 Logger Court was a bustle with all the escaped Robbers, and two probable PIs around the house. This was obviously the hideout, and even though he had this information he knew that these other PIs did as well. With these two PIs in the backyard, Micah decided to take a chance. Quickly, he ran up to the front door and rang the doorbell over and over again, the get the attention of the Robbers. As Micah was rushing down the front steps, a Robber with a gun came around from the side of the house, surprised by the sight of Micah.

So I just read days 11 to 13. Mike you have a crazy talent for story writing. Cowin if you could have just been nice and not made fun of me for being held up by sticks things would have been fine. And I think I did the right thing, getting more money will never be more important than the lives of the officers. But ya you had to make fun of me and when I find you in the game I won't shoot you, I won't put you in a cell, no. I will use you as a foot stool until I think you have learned your lesson.

Having been acquainted with Micah for a few years now, I feel that Micah will survive this dynamic and suspenseful encounter, and prove himself a resourceful Private Investigator.

Consider the following:

1. Micah is a video gamer whose skill and adaptation have allowed him a notable reflex as well as hand eye coordination. His quick ‘video game’ instincts could get him out of this tight jam.
2. Micah is a terrible liar (therefore bluffing his way out must be ruled out), but he is much too loveable to kill off. (NB. Bad Jokes, Constant smile, veneer of Dr. Wong)
3. Micah is a former roommate of Mike, making Mike (author) reluctant to kill of a friend the calibre of Micah
4. It is dark out. Micah (having not yet played a significant role in the story) could find concealment in various sundry shadows and continue on as a character with great game potential.

Additionally please note: It is good to see Michelle on the scene. (Also, I am roommates with her boyfriend. Zip Zap.)

WOW...do I look that stupid to you Mike? (don't answer that question) For the moment it looks as if I'm done for unless I come up with a crazy plan like take out my bow and arrows and shoot the person who had sited me. (that bad joke was for you Chris) Other than that I guess it's game over for Micah, since he's obviously a panicky coward in this game. The funny part of this whole thing is that it looks a little like the way I was kicked out on survivor weekend (Mike knows what I'm talking about). I practically tell the other players to eliminate me again just like before. Only this time I'm sure someone will know how to spell my name properly, or they won't have the need to spell my name in the first place. Ohhh and on a side note, it's cool to finally see the other PI Michelle in the game. Way to go Mike and keep up the creative story writting.
