Day Fourteen: Tunnel Vision

The Cold Killer stopped in his tracks. The man had already run down the front steps and was bolting down the sidewalk away from the house. Just as The Cold Killer began to run after the man, someone came around the corner of the house and collided with him knocking his gun out of his hand. The man who knocked him over had dark skin and had dreadlocked hair. Shocked that there was more than one stranger around the hideout, The Cold Killer scrambled to find his gun, but in the darkness he couldn’t locate it. The dreadlocked man took the opportunity to make a dash for it away from the house the opposite way the other man had run.

As the guy was getting away The Chump came out the front door of the house and The Cold Killer told him to try and follow the dreadlocked man. The Chump knew that he was a fast runner, but this guy was way ahead when he moved in between the houses. The Chump moved into the houses as well, perfectly happy to play a little game of cat and mouse.

The Following is the account of Officer Stephen Edwards on Day Fourteen

Things were not going well at the Police Station. Officer Edwards sat behind his desk watching as argument after argument unfolded between his team. Some of the cops who hadn’t been at the station when the jail break occurred had no patience for the Cops who said there was nothing they could do. Deputy Chief Heidman was livid with Chief Pitman, and had to go outside to cool himself off. The team had lost four Robbers which added up to a loss of $300,000. Since Officer Siebenmorgan had been eliminated the team was now down to eleven. This meant that Officer Edwards had just lost over $27,000.

As far as he was concerned, Stephen Edwards was just glad the Robbers hadn’t killed him. As his team was hustling around the station, doing double-length patrols, Officer Edwards sat with his feet up on his desk. It was the early afternoon, and as he had been on duty all night Steve was ready to go home. Throughout the night, he and Lt. Wilson had been discussing the tunnels they had found. With all that had been going on, Chief Pitman had decided that there was no time to put the force’s time into these tunnels. Because of this, Lt. Wilson and Officer Edwards had decided to check the tunnels again when they were done their shift.

Soon 2:00pm rolled around, and Officer Edwards grabbed his jacket and followed Lt. Wilson outside the station. The sun was shining down on Pewter St. and for a moment Officer Edwards forgot all about the jail break two days prior. Enjoying the beautiful weather, Edwards and Wilson in their uniforms walked south on King St. towards the mystery buildings in the south-west quadrant, finding them abandoned. There were four small buildings, but instead of checking the other three Officer Edwards wanted to see where else these tunnels led.

------------------------------------------------------------

Inside the Robbers’ basement The Menace decided it was time to find a new hideout. Last night two probable Private Investigators had found this house and would soon bring the cavalry down on them. The Chump had successfully followed the dreadlocked man to his house, but that would have to be dealt with later. The other man had gotten away, but The Cold Killer got a good description of him. Late tonight The Menace would go out to some extra’s house, kill him and take it for their hideout. It would have to be a big night, because the plan was to pull off a heist at the same time so no one would see them take a new hideout. The Menace knew Day Fifteen would be the most important yet.

------------------------------------------------------------

Officer Stephen Edwards began to head back to towards the mystery building entrance. He and Lt. Wilson had not found anything really interesting at all. They had found entrances to all sorts of shops and even into the Police Station but they were all locked with heavy bolt locks. If they were to open the rest of the doors they would have to get bolt cutters. Soon they were back at the entrance, and closing the trap door behind him, Officer Edwards climbed out of the hole. Lt. Wilson suggested that they take this time to check out the other buildings. It seemed like a good idea so they exited the building and put the loose boards back in the doorway.

As they were heading towards another one of the buildings Lt. Wilson stopped and pushed Steve against the wall. He pulled out his gun and slowly took a step forward. There were voices coming from inside the window right in front of them. Listening closely, Steve could hear that they were men’s voices but he couldn’t hear what they were discussing. Lowering himself to crouch under the window and standing back up on the other side, Steve peered into the window and saw guns and other equipment lining the walls and two men filling a couple back with guns and clips. Making sure they did it at the same time, Mike and Steve turned into the window with their guns first and yelled for the men to put their hands up. Quickly one of the men Steve recognized as The Legend turned and pulled out his gun. Before Steve could react The Legend pulled the trigger and shot Steve in the chest knocking him to the ground. More guns shots followed.

Hey guys, i'm trying to increase production time for these things.

But i don't want to go too fast for you guys, so even leave a small comment letting me know what you think is much needed. That way I know that i'm moving on to the next day before you read this one.

Just saying this, cause Day 15 is done, but I don't think some "key" people haven't read 14 yet.

stevo.. getting ur hands dirty... haha... didn't see the gun slinging thing workin out for u though... too bad bout the chest wound.. but u know that over 80% of gunshot victims that recieve first aid treatment in the first 5min (provided it didn't kill them instantly) survive and recover... anywho.. sweet action....

Alright Mikey,

This "key" member has read over day fourteen a couple times and is patiently awaiting 15; hopefully the one where I emerge from the shadows with guns blazing or at least sending out some wicked cut eye

Matt
