Day Twenty-One: A Shot in the Dark

For the second day in a row The Cold Killer and his friend were hiding in the residential area as Sgt. Tyler Wells watched from a distance. This time he was not only with Cpt. Dirks, but Cpt. Cameron Hodge, Officer Stephen Edwards, Sgt. Clements and Lt. Mandy Maurice were also there. Tonight the Robbers were going to go down, and Sgt. Wells believed that The Cold Killer was going to lead the Cops into the lair of the Robbers. And just as he had predicted, The Cold Killer and the other Robber moved into 41 Maple Drive, the hideout of the Robbers.

-----------------------------------------------------------

PI Micah George walked down the street with his friend PI Pat and his new friend PI Michelle. This new addition to their twosome was going to lead him to the Robbers’ hideout, and Micah was going to betray her plain and simple. He had already planned to betray Pat a long time ago, so it was not too much of a hassle to stab someone else in the back. So through the residential area they walked towards the hideout, and Micah’s new plan. He couldn’t believe that Pat would be so silly to believe he would split their earnings.

The Following is the account of Ryan “The Architect” Matulewicz on Day Twenty-One:

The Architect was losing his patience with his team. He had been controlling them since day one, but now they (in particular The Muscle) had begun to challenge his leadership. It was not his fault that instead of carefully calculated plans they wanted to go and shoot everybody. It was because of their foolhardiness that they had three people in jail and four dead. Actually, come to think of it… The Architect had shot and killed both The Verdict and The Wit, and he also betrayed The Stylist to the Cops so he could escape arrest. Alright, well the other ones were because of foolhardiness, but it was all going to change, because The Architect had a plan.

Suddenly someone was coming down the stairs, and that confused The Architect, because his only remaining teammates (The Menace, The Muscle, The Legend and The Chump) were sitting with him. Then the most unexpected thing happened. The Cold Killer walked down the stairs (He was supposed to be in jail), followed by The Wit?!?! Abruptly, The Architect stood up from his chair knocking it to the ground, and The Wit told him to sit down. The Robbers in the room were shocked to see their old teammate, and didn’t really know what to say. The Wit pulled out a gun, pointed it at The Architect and again told him to sit down. Just then, The Architect heard a commotion up the stairs, and The Wit jumped down to avoid what was coming.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Captain Cameron Hodge ran down the stairs with his gun drawn, yelling for the Robbers to put their hands up and was shocked to find seven Robbers already down there. He knew right away that this was not going to be good. His team came in behind him, and everyone was yelling at eachother. The Muscle was swearing at the Cops saying that there was no way he was going to surrender. Sgt. Wells was moving closer to The Cold Killer, because he was not going to let him get away. Standing in the middle of the room the Cops pointed guns at the Robbers, the Robbers pointed their guns at the Cops and everyone was yelling. Everyone was yelling that is, until The Muscle shot Captain Cam in the chest. Then all hell broke loose. Captain Cam fell backwards, and everyone started shooting and diving all over the place to avoid being shot. The Architect tried to make his way over to the stairway and he was tackled by Officer Stephen Edwards, who held him down, pointed his gun at The Architect’s chest and told him not to move. Steve was not going to let $75,000 get away.

Sgt. Wells however was not thinking so rationally as he fired his gun again and again in the direction of The Cold Killer. Packets of paint exploded all over The Cold Killer as he died. Standing in front of the stairway, Captain Dirks blocked the escape route of any Robbers. The remaining robbers, The Menace, The Muscle, The Wit, The Legend and The Chump sat behind a table in the far corner of the room. The remaining Cops hid behind chairs and couches between the Robbers and the stairway. Captain Dirks yelled for the Robbers to surrender, because if they get shot in a vital area they will be eliminated for good. But the Robbers did not surrender. They picked up the table, and as a group walked behind it towards to the Cops. Sgt. Wells and Sgt. Clements ran around on opposite side of the table to shoot the Robbers from the other side. Sgt. Wells was able to shoot The Wit in the arm, knocking him over, before he himself was shot by The Menace in the stomach. Sgt. Clements took shots at the Robbers, but was gunned down in the arm by The Legend.

Pushing the table to the doorway and then taking shots at the Cops, the Robbers ran around the table towards Captain Dirks, Lt. Mandy Maurice and the stairs. The Menace shot Cpt. Dirks on the shoulder knocking him over, while Lt. Mandy tackled The Chump, grabbing him around the ankles, taking him down, while The Menace, The Muscle and The Legend ran up the stairs and out of the hideout. The Cops sat in the basement with their captives. They had killed The Cold Killer. The Wit, The Chump, and The Architect were in custody, and they didn’t want to risk losing anyone else to gunfire. Captain Cam had been killed, while Sgt. Wells and Sgt. Clements were wounded.

-------------------------------------------------------------

PI Micah had stopped in his tracks when he heard all the gunfire coming from the hideout. He and Pat and Michelle stood on the sidewalk not really knowing what to do. It seemed Michelle really had brought them to the hideout, but now what? Micah didn’t have a chance to think about what they would do next as three guys ran out of the house and down the sidewalk towards them. One of the bigger guys lifted his gun firing at the threesome of PIs. They tried to scatter but now all three Robbers were firing at them. Micah could see Pat dive behind a bush, while Michelle was shot numerous times. Before Micah could get behind the bush with Pat, he himself was shot three times in the chest. Stunned, Micah fell to the grass. The Robbers did not stop to see if they had killed everyone, they just kept running, and running fast. It seemed they really wanted to get away from their hideout.

Thus, the end of Day Twenty-One brings about the deaths of:

Dan “The Cold Killer” Wylie… you tried to help your lost teammate bring revenge to another teammate, but in the end it was you who ended up paying for it.

Captain Cameron Hodge... You worked hard leading the troops, making a difference. And your bravery will be remembered, as will your getting shot by The Muscle.

Private Investigator Michelle Whiting… Your trickery ended up getting you killed, but at least you took one of the stooges with you.

And last but not least, Private Investigator Micah George… Your rivalry with Pat is a beautiful thing, and I am sad to see it end. Here’s hoping something terrible happens to Pat eh?

Next time on Cops and Robbers… PI Nathalie Hainaut decides its time to take action. The newly captured Robbers begin planning another escape, and The Menace realizes he left something behind in the hideout.

great job there Mike, you made it look so dramatic the way I died, too bad I was so brave in the fact of those bullets.
PS I hope Pat dived into poison ivy, and a bear trap.

Keep up the good work buddy.

Matt's Revenge = Letdown of the Week.

Let this be a lesson to you all who think to cross me - you may end up being told not very nicely to sit down, then get tackled.

Wooo. Watch out!

good thing I can actually do useful police work like tackling people and not just sit in the station and annoy my fellow officers by "talking about boys or something".

:)

lovin the creativity mike.
hope you had a good weekend!

In jail you say...?

Ryan better watch out, especially if he drops the soap...

'Cause that would be one quick uppercut to the face.
