Day Twenty-Four: Problems on the Inside

With three Cops escorting The Legend, he knew that getting saved was not very likely. The Menace was the only other Robber loose, and while The Legend did not doubt The Menace’s abilities, it would be downright foolish to try and free him. Nevertheless, as The Legend was taken out of the hospital and slowly across the street he looked around hoping for some glimmer of hope. As all three Cops had their guns drawn, The Legend also knew it would not be wise to try to escape on foot. The games was probably over as soon as he stepped foot into the Police Station.

--------------------------------------------------------

Across the street PI Patrick Sutherland snapped shots of the Robber and the three Cops walking from the hospital to the Police Station. As they looked his way, Pat only smiled and waved. The Cops knew who he was because they had arrested him earlier in the game, so he was not worried abut them taking notice. If this Robber escaped, Pat would have some nice pictures to send to the SWAT guys.

The following is the account of Officer Tyla Leonard on Day Twenty-Four:

With all the Cops outside of the holding cells with their guns drawn it would be insane for the Robbers to try anything as they shut The Legend up in one of the cells with the other five Robbers. Things were actually looking pretty good for the Cops in Tyla’s eyes. Even though Chief Pitman was MIA, all the other Cops were getting along pretty well. Six Robbers in jail was quite the accomplishment, and Tyla was proud of her team. The Cops believed that there was only one more Robber out there, and soon enough they would find him.

After putting The Legend into his cell, Tyla walked over to where Lt. Mandy was seated at her desk and they began to talk strategy. Mandy had been talking with Tyla for the last couple days about what their plan would be for the last couple days of the game. Whichever Cops finished the game would all split the money so the more Cops finish the game, the less money each of them would get. While Tyla and Mandy were not bad people, they really didn’t want to split their money with the eight Cops that remained. That would be ridiculous, and not enough money for all their hard work. So they needed to find a way to limit the amount of Cops that finished the game. Cops couldn’t kill other Cops, but if they were smart, they could find other ways to kill the Cops.

-------------------------------------------------------

After The Menace buried his new money, he set off again into the tunnels to find a new place to rob. He had carefully closed the back door at the other place, so hopefully the Cops would not figure out that he was using the tunnels. While he wasn’t afraid that the Cops would actually catch him (he was never going to surrender), he was worried that if too many Cops came down there he would not be able to kill them all. This was why he had to move quickly and efficiently. He had big plans for the rest of the game. Each day he would be busy, and each day he would make more and more money. He just hoped that the Robbers in jail would not find a way to escape. He didn’t want them to have any of his money.

-------------------------------------------------------

Officer Tyla was growing tired of spending all her time in the Police Station and she told her teammates that she was going on a patrol. Sgt. Clements offered to go with her, and she gratefully accepted. She loved talking to Mandy but she didn’t have the intensity of Mandy and she didn't really want to stab her team in the back. It would be nice to talk to someone about real things, about life other than Cops and Robbers. Unfortunately, Sgt. Chris Clements wanted to talk about the game. Clements had a problem with “Chief” Heidman, and thought that somehow, they needed to get Chief Pitman back. Tyla, just like the rest of the team, had no idea where Pitman was, but she felt differently. When both Pitman and Heidman were there, it was always a stressful scene being at the Police Station. Clements agreed, but he wanted to see the team strong and together, not separated. With all eight Cops working together, finding this last Robber would be a cinch.

The Standings so far:

Cops:
Six Robbers caught and in jail at $75,000 each.
$450,000 split 8 ways.
$56,250 each.

Robbers:
$300,000 split 1 way.

PIs:
Nathalie: $200,000
Pat: nada
Next time on Cops and Robbers: Sgt. Clements takes matters into his own hand, The Menace continues his rampage of Paradise City, and The Robbers break free… again.
